Why Do We Get Angry When Older Women Look Great?

Politics aside, why is it that “younger” women (let’s say, BA50s) become outraged when older women look good, and try to find the smallest “something” they can to criticize?  Why do they chastise older women who have had “work” done, and look fabulous? Don’t you think that smacks even the least bit of aeism?

“The New Old are, indeed, pretty. They’ve robbed that word back off the young. ‘Yes, yes,’ I hear some of you say ‘But what do their hands look like up close? I bet they have liver spots!’
