Whoever invented the puffer jacket – WE LOVE YOU! These down filled poofs are so light weight and can fit under your other clothes for layering… or they work just fine as the solo layer.
You can spend a a lot of money if you are into labels, but frankly we don’t see the point. There are so many great looking puffer jackets for fall or winter that are reasonable or down right inexpensive.
Love the fitted collar, plus stretch tape cuffs to keep warmth in and drafts out. Great for layering under an overcoat as an inner down layer in extreme cold. Packs down compactly into an included pouch for easy transport, so it’s there when you need it.
Nordstrom has this great waist slimming puffer, in Ice Cove Nightshade. The designer is Bernardo… and it’s on sale for $149.90!
I know this next jacket is a bit pricier– but this looks just like a Moncler jacket (the gold standard of puffers) and is quite a bit less money. Whoever thought Ralph Lauren could be a deal? I love the zip off hood and this one is very light and packable and weighs in at $250. Looks good enough for a night on the town and sturdy enough for taking out the recycling. Check it out here.
Or if you are into Puffers as art, costumes or collectors’ items — you will get a kick out of the Vogue eye candy that headlined for the Fall 2016 runway. I’m gonna pass – but I won’t judge you if you gotta get yourself one.
