I spoke with my Coach Cathy Utzschneider today about the importance of strength training and it lit a fire under me. First of all do you realize that after age 30 we lose a half pound of muscle a year if we do nothing? That is motivation enough to put together a weekly strength training plan.
The good news is, in just 2 months you can improve your strength by 40 percent and in 6 months by 100 percent if you work out with a plan 2 x a week for 40 minutes or 4 x a week for 20 minutes. There are plenty of programs and trainers out there, so there is no excuse in terms of not finding one.
