While there are still biting cold temperatures and snow on the ground for much of the country, it’s not too early to start thinking about spring shoes. At this time of year, many of us BA50’s start getting tired of wearing our winter boots on repeat and look forward to the upcoming change of the seasons. Now is a good time to take stock of your closet and fill in any gaps you might have. Stores are fully stocked with the new spring shoe styles, and popular ones may sell out early as many retailers are maintaining lower inventory levels due to the pandemic.
While researching for this article, I found that most spring shoe trends are open toe sandal styles, which honestly, I can’t quite get my head around yet. The one exception is the clog trend which I am very excited about. Clogs are comfy, add a boost in height, and remind us of our youth. Since there can be quite a bit of rain in early spring, rain boots and shoes are also near the top of my list. Loafers, especially ones with a platform, are a great choice for spring, and they can be worn with socks until the weather warms up. I round out my selections with light-colored booties which are ideal to transition us into the warmer months ahead.
