Shoulder Pads and Blazers are Back

Originally invented as a protective layer for American football players in the late 19th century, shoulder pads did not make their way into women’s fashion until the 1930s. And when we finally go to wear them in the 80s we wondered why it took so long for a comeback. For those of us with wider hips and narrow shoulders…we loved them as they gave us a trim look.
Happily, shoulder pads are back.
