She Didn’t Have Kids Because They’re Too Expensive…And She Doesn’t Regret It

Those of us who have kids, know that they are expensive.  From pre-school tuition, to sports, to clothing, to prom, to college. And these days, it doesn’t necessarily end with college.  Have you thought about how much money you would have now if you had never had kids?  Come on…we know you have!

When Bonnie Gayle was about 9 years old—and testing her mother’s patience—she uttered something most moms find themselves saying to their kids at one time or another: “I hope you have kids just like you when you grow up.”  She remembers thinking even then that I didn’t want to be a mommy when she grew up.

Her mother assured her that she’d change my mind when I was older.

But she didn’t.  And she doesn’t regret it.  Not for a second.
