Barbara Hannah Grufferman, a nationally recognized expert on healthy and positive aging is the author of “The Best of Everything After 50: The Experts’ Guide to Style, Sex, Health, Money and More,” the best-selling resource book for women (will be available at the event at a discount). She writes weekly columns for Huffington Post and AARP and serves as Chief Pundit at FOF, a website for women over 45. In 2012 she Barbara started Best of Everything Media, Inc., a company that will develop content for websites and other media. Her next book–”The Best of Everything Guide to Your Best Body After 50 . . . and Beyond”–will be published in 2013.
Barbara has appeared on the Today Show, Good Morning America Health, CBS’ The Early Show and numerous radio and internet programs, including NPR, Dr. Oz Sirius Radio on the Oprah Channel, and Sirius Doctor Radio. AARP will soon produce a YouTube Channel called “Best of Everything with Barbara.” Barbara is a recipient of the Generations of Strength Award from the National Osteoporosis Foundation for her outspoken support of positive and healthy aging in America, and was recently named the NOF’s first Ambassador for Bone Health.
An avid runner, knitter, and fan of all things made with peanut butter, she lives in Manhattan with her husband, two daughters, and a rescued dog.
