Playtime: Dressing Up Like Our Favorite Renata From Big Little Lies

I was obsessed with the The HBO series Big Little Lies. Did you see it? If you didn’t I’m jealous because I wish I could see it all over again for the first time. I loved the way this murder mystery about three mothers whose lives unravel to the point of murder. unfolded for several reasons.

First of all it was a great story line. Also it featured some of my favorite actresses who are over 50. Nicole Kidman(52 years), Laura Dern (52 years), and Meryl Streep (age 70) who plays the dreaded mother-in-law. Reese Witherspoon is on her way to becoming one of us but still only 43 years old so doesn’t qualify as a BA50 just yet.

The series kept me on the edge of my seat and binging one episode after the next. One of the big indulgences was watching what the characters wore. Each show was a runway of cutting edge hip California fashion, some that I wanted to own, others, I was satisfied to gawk at like thumbing through an unattainable Vogue fashion spread.

In celebration of my favorite holiday, Halloween, I thought it would be fun to take a look at the Bg Little Lies fashions and see who I would want to dress up like for the holiday and for real. Which one do you want to dress like….if any? I chose Renata and here’s some my favorite outfits I am going to get (because I found the affordable versions).
