    I think this article offers an interesting critique regarding our approach to retirement planning in the U.S. For an individual approaching retirement, reading this article however, will more than likely induce a state of apprehension and fear.

    As someone who coaches people through major life transformations, I would discourage this fear-based perspective and encourage anyone who is close to retiring to reframe their perception about retirement to a more positive albeit practical perspective. Whatever your financial situation, retirement is a time of change, a time for transforming yourself and your life. Focusing on how you want to live out the rest of your life given your financial situation is far more interesting and helpful than wallowing in regret and the fear that you haven’t saved enough money.

    It is what it is! So, let’s get to creating the life you want!
