spring clean·ing, noun

  1. a thorough cleaning of a house or room, typically undertaken in spring.

If we’re being completely honest with ourselves, we [women] know that there are many perks to spring cleaning. We get rid of unworn clothes that we haven’t worn in years and in some cases, some that still have tags on them because we just didn’t get around to wearing them [choose any reason]. By freeing up those hangers in our closets- we now have the necessary space that’s needed to fill up that closet for all of those special events this spring.

Graduations, engagement parties, weddings, reunions and of course Mother’s Day; you name it, and we have a need for something to wear to it. With that being said, Mother’s Day is quickly approaching [I know, it’s already May], so I wanted to share some of my favorite dresses that are perfect for Mother’s Day brunch [and my top choice for a wedding, gala or anything semi-formal this spring- sorry I couldn’t resist!].

Let me introduce you to Tahari ASL. This line by Arthur S. Levine just made spring dress shopping effortless.

Here are three of my favorite dresses from the Tahari ASL line, that I think you will love too!

TAHARAI long sleeve white dress

The lace overlay, the champagne gold, the illusion neckline, the sleeves- how could you not love this dress for $168.00?

My favorite part about this long-sleeve dress  ($168) is its versatility and its practicality during the most unpredictable time of year. You can dress it up or down with flats, sandals or heels for a nice brunch or a night out. And that champagne gold fits right in with the neutral colors this season!

Illusion necklines are by far my favorite trend this year because they flatter all body types and make dresses so much more comfortable, timeless and wearable. Gone are the days of pulling up those strapless dresses! The lace overlay, the champagne gold, the illusion neckline, the sleeves- how could you not love this dress?

tahari blue chiffon

Lightweight chiffon shift gets all dressed up with flowing tulip sleeves and an intricately detailed embroidered hem. $148.00

Want something a little more casual? This lightweight, chiffon dress is perfect and can also be dressed up or down. The tulip sleeves, round neck, embroidered hem and rich navy color are so perfectly intertwined to create a staple dress this spring.

Finally, as promised, my top pick for more formal events this spring.

tahari long dress

Floral lace-appliquéd chiffon gown framed by a sheer illusion front-to-back neckline. Elegantly easy with sleeveless silhouette and A-line skirt. $239.00

This dress has it all. The illusion neckline [again, my favorite], the floral, the lace overlay, the A-line skirt and the silver-and its length is sure to flatter everyone!

You can get all of these looks and so many more for all of those events we really need something new here.

And did I mention free shipping and returns?

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you incredible moms out there!
