As empty nesters we are used to dealing with changes in our homes, family, finances and friends. There are plenty of reasons that the friends who supported us in our early years are no longer as supportive and perhaps we can even admit to not finding them as relatable.

But often times there are other reasons why there is stress in our friendships and it’s not always easy to tease out what the real issue is.

We wanted to share this piece about friends who we feel have gone “cold” on us, or aren’t as easy to be with as they once were. It appears that friendship issues know no age limit.
