“Wow, those are the coolest boots…I want a pair,” I told my boys.

“Nope, these are just for me….sorry mom.”

But that was so last year.

The boots are made of gorgeous leather that remind me of Colorado meets Brooklyn. They are the kind of boots I would wear with a skirt or jeans – not for dress up, however.

I’m happy to say however that last week Thursday Boots launched a women’s line and my son showed me the picture of Katie Perry wearing them. I’m buying the midnight blue suede ones, the same as Katie Perry.

I talked to the owner of the company Nolan Walsh who launched this business after college. This is what he had to say about the boots for women at midlife.

“I think women over 50 will particularly appreciate the comfort of our boots. We spent a great deal of time working the boots to ensure they support your foot at all the right places, and created custom insoles with the same supplier who makes Dr. Scholls. Further, we noticed that even at high price points, a lot of women‘s brands cut corners with cheap materials or don’t take comfort/wearability into consideration.

We think the line is going to do really well as we are using top-end materials while staying true to our philosophy of honest prices. Product details include: full grain leather uppers, lush suedes embedded with proprietary waterproofing solution, full glove leather interior lining, shock absorbing comfort footbed/insole, wood+leather heels, and leather outsoles. Prices range from $149-$199.”
