Looking for something to wear when the flip flops go back in the closet? We love wearing our hip cool booties…without socks. We feel very cool with this look even with white pants after Labor Day.
The other night I work these Dolce Vita boots to my very stylish French friend’s dinner party to see if she would notice how chic I looked. BINGO! She loved my boots and emailed me the next day to ask me where to get them. With a nod from the French (mais oui!), we felt confident to recommend this “look” for September and October.
Here’s the Dolce Vita boot and they are still available even though I bought them from Bloomingdales in May. I love the low heel as I”m already 5’7″ and don’t love to tower over hubs. They are a reasonable $140.
The next boot is the classic open toe wedge that has a chunky heel but is incredibly comfortable. Plenty of designers carry this style but I love my black one’s from Vince. The heel is slightly higher but I couldn’t resist. We think these will carry you easily through the next few months.
We love the Jane Heeled Sandal which is $350
I found my Vince open toed shoe but it was in light green almost brown looking leather which I don’t love as much as my black pair. Check this one out on Zappos and maybe you can find it in black on your own. It is so comfortable.
Ronna loves these booties from Jeffrey Campbell.com. Normally, this brand is a little too young and hip for her (don’t be put off by the ultra coolness of the website), but when her daughter picked these out for her for the fall, she fell for them. The quality is first class without being ultra expensive (these booties are $185.00.) Ronna loves these booties for the heel (she is not as tall as me,) the closed toe, the tri-color beige, and the little diamond cut outs. They also have a little zipper in the back. It is hard to find Jeffrey Campbell shoes– they are not sold everywhere, but they have a fabulous online sales department, with a great return policy.
