Dress up your tables this July 4th. This holiday is a license to go wild – get creative, colorful and put a smile on your guests’ faces. Here’s some “looks” we love taken from our “Summer Holidays” Pinterest board.
This tablescape from napsontheporch.net of red, white, and blue mixed with denim is fantastic, and the twig chargers lend a rustic, homey atmosphere to the table. The flag dinnerware is pretty special, but solid red, white and blue plates would work as well.
The thing we love about this place setting from stylesisters.blogspot.com is the combination of old world patterned plates paired with down-home bandanna napkins. There’s no reason to spend lots on linen when simple will be just as impressive.
Decorating a dessert buffet can be as simple as opening up a few red, white, and blue pinwheels and hanging them nearby. They make a really pretty backdrop, and the old wire and wooden baskets add a touch of Americana. This idea is from celebrationsathome.com.
4th of July centerpieces need not be fussy…after all, the holiday is all about celebrating, not stressing. Glass containers filled with red, white, and blue candy and mini flags add color and whimsy to the table. These are from bhg.com.
A clever way to display flowers was done by thecraftyhostess.com. The three-tiered display atop a red, white, and blue striped tablecloth brings drama and patriotism to the table.
If you’re feeling crafty, and you’ve got some kids attending the festivities, these “firecrackers” made out of toilet paper rolls and ribbon streamers will be a huge hit. They’d be perfect to hang from a tent on the beach or a front porch. Stephanie Young made these, and we think they’re beautiful!
