I missed the Alexander McQueen show at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NY a few years ago. But, I caught it in London this past week at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Accompanied by two non-fashionistas, my husband and son’s 26 year old friend Matt, we were all nevertheless totally WOWED.

McQueen who is no longer alive (suicide), was a genius. Walking through endless rooms of his collection was like being inside a magical and macabre elegant closet of imagination.  McQueen was political, historical and hugely experimental.

The show is totally experiential and to get a sense of it’s originality, we wanted to share these videos with you. This last video is of Kate Moss inside a Hologram — totally ghostlike and otherworldly.

If you happen to be heading to London this summer – don’t miss the show and definitely PRE-BOOK it. It’s a blockbuster and requires tickets. (It runs through August 2015)
