The race for the Oscar could probably be called one of the most competitive, outside of the Olympics. It clearly is the Super Bowl of cinema but there apparently is another race connected to the awards ceremony that most people aren’t familiar with: the race to be on the memorial scroll of film industry luminaries who have gone to that big movie house in the sky.
