To say this winter is going to be different is an understatement. There are a lot of things out of our control which is not easy for any of us. But we can control how we dress, and being properly equipped for the upcoming cold weather is one easy way to do just that. Accessories like hats, gloves, scarves and gaiters can help us feel protected and warm, and also add some style to our outerwear. With most of us spending a lot more time at home, enjoying the great outdoors (no matter how cold it gets) will be extra appealing, so why not treat yourself to a stylish new accessory or two?

New this season are accessories geared to help us navigate the Covid world we find ourselves in. Beanies with an attachable matching face mask will be practical for all of our cold weather pursuits (and will probably fly off the shelves.) Warm gaiters or bandanas with nose wires can be worn when we might need to quickly cover our faces. Errand gloves and gloves with reflective properties will make shopping trips and exercising outdoors after dark a bit safer. If you are looking for something trendy and non-Covid related, bucket hats and berets are seeing a huge surge in interest due to the popularity of Netflix’s Emily in Paris.

Here is my roundup of cold weather accessories whether you are looking for practical choices or just some fun, stylish pieces to add to your winter wardrobe.
