Celeste Lee, Co-Founder of Caire Cosmetics and I had a coffee the other day in NYC. We laughed and brainstormed for almost 2 hours about Betterafter50 women and Caire’s mission of providing consciously created skincare to empower women. Celeste is one of us — she walks the walk.
I love these products and have the face mask and serum. They are onto something big in terms of their formula using Hyaluronic Acid.
Hyaluronic Acid is like a glass of water for your face. It’s a molecule that works to draw + lock in moisture, supports elasticity, and boosts overall collagen production in your skin. In this way, Hyaluronic Acid contributes to a youthful complexion that looks plump, smooth, and filled.
However, not all Hyaluronic Acid is created equally.
Why’s hyaluronic acid so magical? ….According to Healthline..
“For starters, HA can bind up to 1000 times its weight in water! In other words, it functions as a humectant and holds water molecules onto the surface of your skin to keep it nice and hydrated.
Anytime we’re talking about skin that’s well-moisturized, we’re mainly referring to skin that has a lot of water content. Perhaps you’ve heard the term transepidermal water loss, or TEWL for short? This is the scientific term for the measurement of how much water is evaporated from the skin.
When a product prevents TEWL, that means it’s keeping your skin hydrated by making sure that water doesn’t escape from your skin’s surface. Hyaluronic acid does exactly that by slowing the rate at which the water evaporates.
Apart from being a very effective hydrator, a couple of studies have also found that it’s very good for healing wounds, too!” Click here to read more about the science of HA….
The Caire formula leverages the broadest spectrum of Hyaluronic Acid (including the tiniest), combined with a powerhouse peptide and supercharged with a unique and proprietary fermentation approach which allows Caire to go deeper into mature skin as it ages; showing amazing results you can see and feel.
We are so excited to be collaborating with this amazing company.
