I fell in love with Brooke Adams during my interview with her in her home on Martha’s Vineyard this past week. (click below to watch). Her warmth, honesty and openness made me feel like I was talking to a dear friend. I came away thinking, she has just given us all a recipe of how to live a happier life.
As we moved from subject to subject, her takeaways from each experience dropped like pearls along the path of her life’s journey.
We talked about her past as an actress and her present as an artist, motherhood, reinvention, the Me Too movement, and about about being the wife of famous actor Tony Shalhoub. We talked about her philosophy of “Letting Go” and how that has enriched her.
Brooke is candid, honest and funny. I frankly could have talked to her all afternoon however she was packing up to head to the Emmy’s in New York with her husband Tony. (Spoiler Alert: HE WON Best Supporting Actor in A Comedy Series.)
Brooke speaks frankly about being a young insecure actress, and finding her way, about why she turned to painting when she became a mother, her thoughts of being the wife of famous actor Tony Shalhoub her pup Scoop’s new found stardom because of a post on Rachel Brosnahan’s Instagram.
I hope you enjoy this “live” interview with actress, painter Brooke Adams in the first of this Better After 50 Inspiring Women Series.
