Award winning journalist, essayist and best-selling author Mary-Lou Weisman's published books include: Al Jaffee’s Mad Life (HarperCollins), My Middle-aged Baby Book (Workman), Traveling While Married (Algonquin Books), and Intensive Care: A Family Love Story (Random House.) Her essays have appeared in many magazines, among them The Atlantic Monthly, The New Republic, Newsweek and Vogue. For several years, she wrote a nationally syndicated column, “One Woman’s Voice,” and following that, the “Hers” column for the New York Times. She has taught writing at the New School University, and served as a commentator on Public Radio International. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, PEN and The Authors Guild.
