Marcia Drut-Davis, MS in TESOL (teaching English to Students of other Languages) is an outspoken pioneering advocate for parenting choices and past chapter President of NON (National Organization of Non-Parents) from 1974 -76. Prior to getting her masters degree at the age of 50, she taught common branch subjects in New York, California and Michigan. Her peers recognized her abilities nominating her to the Walt Disney’s “American Teacher Awards” in 1998. She retired to Florida in 2000 where she taught future teachers in The School of Education at FAU. Presently, she volunteers to teach literacy in a local library and is a bi-monthly writer for the Pineapple Post in Jensen Beach. She lives with her husband Jim and a rescued 7 pound Chihuahua.
