Laura Raposa recently retired after 30 years writing for the Boston Herald, 21 of those years co-writing the “Inside Track,” the city’s best source for dish on local celebs, jocks and pols.
During her time at “The Track,” Laura and her partner, Gayle Fee, hosted a radio show on the late, lamented WTKK-FM as well as the “Track Gals” TV show on WBZ-TV, a CBS affiliate. She also appeared many times on “Extra,” “Inside Edition” and “Entertainment Tonight.”
When she wasn’t dishing dirt, Laura could be found in the kitchen indulging her passion for cooking and baking. In fact, in 2011, Laura appeared on the second season on “MasterChef,” but washed out in the first round. Apparently, cantankerous chef Gordon Ramsay didn’t like “gossip columnists.”
Laura lives south of Boston with her husband, Boston Globe business columnist Steven Syre, and their two spoiled cats, Pippa and Emma.
