Dove Grand CanyonI spent the last 10 days in blazing sun with 2% humidity. Oh the beauty of Santa Fe, Sedona, The Grand Canyon and Scottsdale! Water please!!!

We dressed smartly and hiked daily. Things I learned – cover everything, wear sun protection clothing, make sure it is lightweight enough to allow you to survive 103 degree temps and make sure it is hotel-sink-washable so you can do it all over again the next day.

I have to admit I shopped wisely and asked questions along the way so my clothing would perform and of course be somewhat stylish so the digitals would not end up in the delete file.

womanhikingWhen shopping for summer style trends, our skin is not usually a top consideration, until you are exposed to the blazing sunshine and then it might be too late.
