A night of award-winning actors and even more award-winning red carpet looks, the 90th annual Oscars were held last night in Los Angeles and it was definitely an event you did not want to miss. The reason we love watching the Oscars pre-show is because it’s like watching American Idol auditions; some looks leave you in awe while others you can’t help but laugh at. Nonetheless, Hollywood glamour was at its finest as we saw celebrities stunning the carpet in everything from Calvin Klein to Dior. These actresses over 50 not only amazed us in their movies, they blew us away on the red carpet. Which look is your favorite?Frances McDormand, 60, won the award for Best Actress for her role in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and gave an exhilarating speech honoring women in the industry. She wore a unique mottled black and gold dress with natural hair and makeup.Laura Dern, 51, presented the award for Best Documentary Feature alongside nominated director Greta Gerwig. Laura glowed in a white ruffle shoulder V-neck gown by Calvin Klein.  Meryl Streep, 68, was nominated for Best Actress for The Post. She went bold in a red long-sleeve gown by Dior Haute Couture.Nicole Kidman, 50, went for a dramatic look in an electric blue sweetheart gown with a grand bow front by Armani Prive. She presented the award for Best Original Screenplay which went to Jordan Peele for his movie Get Out.Rita Moreno, 86, presented for Best Foreign Language Film. She looked timeless in the same Japanese inspired gown she wore to the Oscars in 1962 when she won best supporting actress for West Side Story.Allison Janney, 58, won the award for Best Supporting Actress for the role of Tonya Harding’s mother in I, Tonya. She dazzled in a bright red Reem Acra gown with a plunging-neck and floor length sleeves.Celebrities, they’re just like us! Except for Jane Fonda, the 80-year-old who defies time and looked half her age in this structured white beaded gown from Balmain.Sandra Bullock, 53, was not nominated for an award this year but presented for Achievement In Cinematography. She wore a breathtaking gold and black sequined gradient dress by Louis Vuitton.Although she did not win in her nominated category of Best Supporting Actress for her role in Lady Bird, Laurie Metcalf, 62, still looked pretty in pink as she wore a sequined light peach long-sleeve gown.
