This morning I heard on the news that Tom Brady and Gisele are on an alkaline diet and it keeps them energized and reduces swelling. This is what we apparently need to eliminate if we hope to run like the wind, score big touchdowns, and become super models.

Looks like pizza is not totally off limits if you are going to try to eat like a Pro.

THE FOODS THAT ARE BANNED ON GISELE AND TOM’S DIET

Sugar

Flour

MSG

Cooking with olive oil (raw olive oil okay on salads, cook with coconut oil)

Canola oil

Iodized salt (pink Himalayan salt only)

Nightshades – no tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, or eggplants

Coffee

Caffeine

Dairy

Gluten

Limited fruit

Campbell explained to Boston.com: ‘I’ll use raw olive oil, but I never cook with olive oil. I only cook with coconut oil.

‘Fats like canola oil turn into trans fats. …I use Himalayan pink salt as the sodium. I never use iodized salt.’

‘[Tom] doesn’t eat nightshades, because they’re not anti-inflammatory. So no tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, or eggplants.

‘Tomatoes trickle in every now and then, but just maybe once a month. I’m very cautious about tomatoes. They cause inflammation.

‘What else? No coffee. No caffeine. No fungus. No dairy. The kids eat fruit. Tom, not so much. He will eat bananas in a smoothie. But otherwise, he prefers not to eat fruits.’

Harris-Pincus told the New York Post: ‘There hasn’t been any real research that shows nightshades cause inflammation — even the Arthritis [Foundation] states that it’s a myth that nightshades are inflammatory.’
