“A large 2006 study in JAMA found an interesting link between migraines and both stroke and heart attacks. In this study of 3610 women over the age of 45 with active migraine, the women with migraine with aura were found to have an increased risk of having a cardiovascular disease event, like a heart attack or ischemic stroke.”
