Lying back and putting your feet in the stirrups at the gynecologist’s office is hardly ever on anyone’s “favorites” list, but the dreaded pelvic exam may soon become a thing of the past. A recent guideline from the American College of Physicians says doctors should not do pelvic exams on non-pregnant adult women with no symptoms of disease.
