Ask any peri- or post-menopausal woman about how well she’s been sleeping and she’ll most likely tell you, “Not well at all.” In fact, many people these days talk of not sleeping through the night on many nights. Funny thing is that research has discovered that in terms of sleep, it’s the quality, not the quantity. And, any deep sleep “primes out brains to function at a higher level.” So, perhaps it’s better to not stress over how little sleep you’re getting, but rather concentrate on how good that small amount of sleep is.
