I attended Boston College where I received my B.A. in Special Education/Elementary Ed. Masters in Creative Arts & Learning - Lesley College Masters in Educational Technology - Framingham State College I retired after teaching for 34 years, Special Education in the Newton Public Schools. I started my career teaching at a private school for Special Needs students, also in Newton. I have worked with hearing impaired, developmentally delayed, autistic, and learning disabled students. My last 16 years of teaching, I developed and taught in the City Wide Learning Disabilities Program at the Oak Hill Middle School. Now that I'm retired, I do private tutoring in reading/decoding, comprehension, writing, organization. I also teach adult literacy. I work out at Pure Barre 3-4 times a week. I love to read, write, ( hoping to write a memoir), horseback ride, travel, take a paint class every week (for the last 10 years), love the beach, and passionate about animals. We are getting a puppy next week! Although it was anxiety-provoking turning sixty, I believe I look the best I've ever looked, and I'm enjoying my freedom and ability to do whatever I want, whenever I want. I got married for the first time later in life (55)…. and we travel, spend time with family and have a great group of friends. I feel I'm an inspiration for older women who are looking for the love of their lifeI I have LOTS of stories to tell!
